For some people the very thought of meditation can be quite daunting, after all meditation means that you are able to blank your mind right,"wrong" , if there is any one reading this that can empty their mind and think of nothing please get in touch and share your secret? lol
Meditation is the ability to focus and discipline the mind through various exercises and techniques, there are many ways to meditate and I feel it is a personal choice as to which type of meditation you do, after all there are many different styles, "Transcendental, Zen, Mindfulness, Walking, Yoni mudra Meditation".
Meditation helps you experience being in the "now", in the "present" so to speak.
How many times have you been washing up or sitting on the train, listening to music or reading, when suddenly you ask yourself "where has the time gone", and then you realise that just for that short amount of time you had completley forgotton about your daily worries or concerns. Did you realise that this is actually meditation at its very basic?.
How many of you remember as a child that you would have great fun looking at the clouds in the sky and being able to make pictures out of them or perhaps you were able to make pictures out of those jazzy carpets or curtains that you had at home or in school?, you might have spent hours seeing faces, animals or scenes, well I used to do this all the time and it wasnt until I grew up that I infact realised that I had been meditating from a young age, you see as previously mentioned, meditation is the ability to focus and disciplining one`s mind, I could even go on and tell you that those pictures that you made out of those clouds,carpets or curtains were a form of "scrying" and if you relate to this I expect you are a very "visual" person and have the capability to develop your "clairvoyance", that is another subject altogther so i will leave you with that thought........
